# Export Form Submissions as CSV or JSON

> Download your formcarry form submissions as a CSV or JSON file with optional filters for precise data exports.

formcarry lets you export all form submissions, or a filtered subset, as a **CSV** or **JSON** file directly from the dashboard. This is useful for analyzing responses in a spreadsheet, importing data into another tool, or keeping an offline backup of your submissions.

  Exports are available on **Basic**, **Growth**, and **Premium** plans only.

## How to Export

  <Step title="Open the Submissions tab">
    Open your form from the dashboard and navigate to the **Submissions** tab.

  <Step title="Apply filters (optional)">
    Use the submissions bar to narrow the data you want to export — filter by date range, spam status, field values, or any other available criteria.

    <Tip>
      Click **Export with Filters** after applying filters to export only the submissions that match your current view, rather than your entire submission history.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Export">
    Click the **Export** button in the submissions bar to open the export options.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a format">
    Select either **CSV** or **JSON** as the output format for your download.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Monitor export progress">
    Exports are generated asynchronously and may take some time depending on the number of submissions. Track the status of your export on the [Exports page](https://app.formcarry.com/exports). You will be able to download the file once it is ready.
