By default, formcarry sends notification emails from its own mail server. If you want emails to arrive from your own domain or email address, you can connect any SMTP server to your account and use it per form.
Custom Email Servers are only available on Growth and Premium plans.

Adding an Email Server

First, save your SMTP credentials in the formcarry dashboard so they can be assigned to any of your forms.
1

Open Email Servers

Navigate to Email Servers in your dashboard. This page lists all servers you have already configured.
2

Create a new server

Click Add Email Server to open the configuration modal.
3

Enter your SMTP credentials

Fill in the following fields:
  • Host — your SMTP server hostname
  • Port — typically 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
  • Username — the email address or account name used to authenticate
  • Password — the account password or app-specific password
  • Secure Connection — enable this for SSL/TLS connections
4

Save and verify

Click Save. formcarry automatically tests the connection before storing your credentials. If the test fails, double-check your host, port, and authentication details.

Using a Custom Server on a Form

After saving a server, enable it on whichever forms should use it.
1

Open form settings

Navigate to your form and click the Settings tab.
2

Locate the custom email server section

Scroll down until you see the Custom email server section.
3

Enable and select your server

Toggle the switch on, then choose your saved server from the dropdown that appears.
4

Save

Click Save. From this point on, formcarry routes all self notifications and auto-reply emails for this form through your SMTP server.
If you are using Gmail as your SMTP server, refer to the Gmail SMTP Setup guide for the specific credentials and app-password configuration required.
