After a form is submitted, formcarry can show a built-in thank you page, redirect users to your own URL, or return a JSON response for AJAX-based forms. All three options can be configured without touching any backend code.

Built-in Thank You Pages

formcarry ships with three ready-made thank you page templates you can use, with any plan. Each template supports full customization:
  • Headline — the main confirmation message
  • Message — supporting copy shown below the headline
  • Button text and URL — an optional call-to-action button
  • Appearance — light, dark, or system (follows the visitor’s OS preference)
To customize a template, open your form’s Settings tab and click Customize under the Thank You Page section.

Custom Thank You Page

Custom thank you pages are available on Basic, Growth, and Premium plans.
If you have your own confirmation page, you can redirect users to it after submission.
1

Open your form settings

Navigate to your form in the dashboard and open the Settings tab.
2

Enable custom redirect

Enable the Custom thank you page toggle.
3

Enter your URL

Type the full URL of your thank you page (e.g. https://yoursite.com/thanks) and save.

Dynamic Return URL

When you need to set the redirect URL programmatically (e.g. when the destination depends on which form or page the user is on) add a hidden _next input to your form:
formcarry will redirect the user to that URL after a successful submission.
Remove any saved Return URL from your form’s dashboard settings before using _next. A URL stored in the dashboard always takes priority over the dynamic _next value, so your hidden input will be ignored until the saved URL is cleared.

AJAX / No-Redirect

If you are submitting your form via JavaScript and want to handle the response yourself without any page navigation, pass the Accept: application/json header with your request. formcarry will return a JSON response instead of issuing a redirect. See the React example and the JavaScript example for complete working implementations.
